Board approves new Asst. Superintendent for Human Resources and Fairport High School Principal

At November’s Board of Education Business Meeting, the Board of Education confirmed two current administrators to new positions within the District. Current Principal of Fairport High School Bob Clark has been appointed as the District’s new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, beginning in July 2026. Current Principal of Johanna Perrin Middle School Patrick Grow was approved as the new Principal of Fairport High School. Mr. Grow will begin his role at Fairport High School in July of 2026.
Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources
Following an internal posting for this position and a comprehensive interview process involving administrators and various stakeholders, Mr. Clark emerged as the successful and outstanding candidate. His extensive tenure as an educator and most recently as principal of FHS provides him with a deep, practical understanding and command of the processes integral to the ASHR role. In his 32nd year in education, Mr. Clark offers a rich professional background that includes experience as a classroom teacher, union leader and coach, culminating with his leadership role at Fairport High School.
Through his time in Fairport, Mr. Clark has proven to be highly intuitive, pragmatic and attuned to the values that make our community special. His leadership and project management skills were evident during the complexity of the reopening of our schools, facilities planning endeavors and the foundational work on the District’s upcoming 2026-2027 consolidation plan. His history of successfully leading high-stakes, systemic changes is exemplary and speaks to his dedication and readiness to support and be the leader of the District's most vital asset - our staff.
Principal of Fairport High School
Throughout his time as leader at Johanna Perrin Middle School, Pat has worked tirelessly to foster a culture of support, appreciation and care for both staff and students. His dedication to the values of compassion, awareness, respect and embracing differences is the heartbeat of that culture of support. His dedication has earned local, state and national recognition for both Johanna Perrin and for Mr. Grow, who was named SAANYS Region 11 Middle School Administrator of the Year last spring. Throughout his tenure at JP, the school was named a “National School to Watch” - a prestigious honor given to less than 3% of the country’s middle schools - four times, most recently in 2025.
Mr. Grow’s transition to the position of Principal of Fairport High School comes at a moment of extraordinary opportunity and change for Fairport’s 9-12 students and staff. Pat’s proven leadership and tireless advocacy for students, families and staff will continue to serve the Fairport community in his role at Fairport High School. We are deeply grateful for his dedicated service as principal of Johanna Perrin Middle School and look forward with confidence to welcoming him to this essential new role.
