Mrs. Ingerick's Phys. Ed. Web Page!! Yes... I used to be Ms. V! 2010-2011 -- Let the Building Begin! As construction laid the foundations for our new facilities, we are hoping to do the same! We are hoping to lay the foundation to create life-long movers. We hope to piece together the building blocks for healthy kids and help them find something they enjoy to participate on their own, outside of school. We are heading toward field days! Students are going to be starting the track and field units and practicing for the K-3 Carnival Day! All events will be outside - weather pending! Please remember socks and sneakers on PE days... we know when the weather gets nice out come the sandles and flip-flops. Grade 2 is finishing up their swimming unit and have done an outstanding job. We have seen HUGE improvements in their comfort levels and skills. *Please stay tuned. The web site is a work in progress. We are hoping to be able to link you to pictures and videos of our students during Physical Education. A Bit About Me... I am a graduate of SUNY Cortland and completed my Masters Degree at SUNY Brockport. My wonderful husband Jim, who is currently serving our country, and I an amazing one year old little man, James, who keeps me going every day. My philosophy as a PE teacher is to make moving fun! If kids have fun moving, they will continue to be movers and have healthy habits. I try to incorporate as many life fitness skills and personal/social skills as I can into my lessons. Our staff here at Brooks Hill is amazing in its capacity of wanting to create “life long movers.” Questions? Feedback? Send me an e-mail: alissa_vanmulem@fairport.monroe.edu
