The 25 pieces were done with the relatively rarely used oil bar medium and realistically depict personal items that the students chose to reflect themselves and their lives.
The colorful artwork was done as part of Fairport’s Artist in Residence (AIR) program which couples FHS upper level art students with professional artists from the community.
The Fairport Board of Education invites you to participate in the 2012-13 Budget Survey. This is your opportunity to provide input into the development of the budget for next year.
Fairport, like districts throughout the state and county, is facing a daunting funding gap, the result of decreased funding and increased costs.
“We will have to make some very difficult budget decisions,” said Board President Ken Kathan, “so community input is very important to us, and we encourage people to respond to the survey.”
The short survey asks for ranking of the value of various types of programs and services, and there is space to add additional comments.
